Voice is my devotion—it connects body and ether, carries language and accessibility, communicates emotion, and moves energy. Voice work is energy work~~~
My teaching methods are grounded in over a decade of vocal study and experience. Beginning in classical technique and expanding into choral and musical theater traditions, I’m well-versed in mainstream singing. My BFA in VoiceArts at CalArts deepened my practice in extended techniques and experimental sound, so we can safely explore any sound you want to make.
I teach outside of dogmatic vocal canons, using acoustic and anatomical approaches to voice type and resonance. Rather than labeling one style “correct” and another “wrong,” we assess your voice and goals together, and build from there. I also offer both pragmatic and esoteric voice care, tailoring lessons to your needs, desires, and comfort. Audition and performance coaching is available too.
I currently teach with Vocals On Stage in Culver City, Los Angeles. Zoom lessons are also available.
